Induction is used by healthcare professionals around the world to connect with the people and information they need, collaborate and communicate securely.

Private directory for your team

A single place for all the numbers and bleeps that you need to connect with healthcare professionals working in your department and wider hospital.

The closed group is only available to those granted access meaning you can store mobile numbers and internal numbers which will not be available to the wider hospital.

Private codes & passwords

Induction can also store private codes and passcodes in the team group which are held locally and not shared.

This is useful for private codes/passcodes for locked cupboards holding equipment on the ward or the codes for office doors can be stored securely.

Share useful documents in your team

Create a healthcare specific workspace where you can share documents, procedure protocols, teaching timetables, rotas and other useful documents with your colleagues.

Team workspaces are closed groups where access is granted by email. The workspaces can be for small ward teams right through to departments or multi-specialty groups for specific overlaps such as orthoplastics or an oncology MDT.

Organise your documents in folders

Documents can be grouped into folders making the documents easy to search and access.

There also are review reminders set when uploading any document meaning that the admin of the group is notified when a review is scheduled ensuring documents are updated regularly.

Access granted by group admins

Access to the closed team workspaces is granted by the admin by email invitations or requests made from the team members.

Team members of the workspace can be given admin status by any current admin.

Communicate securely with your team

Messages can be sent securely with Induction’s instant messaging which was built specifically for healthcare. The security is high enough that you can discuss patient information.

  • Messages are encrypted in transit and at rest.
  • Messages delete after 30 days.
  • Data is stored on servers based in the country your hospital is in.

Share images securely

Induction allows secure messaging of photos and other images you need to share. These images will be stored within Induction and will not be held on your device’s camera roll or link to your personal cloud backups for your phone.

Image sharing is particularly useful in image focused specialties where images can support remote clinical decision making.

Create groups for every team

Set up dynamic groups that can change based on who is on call and meet the needs of all the teams you are part of.

Made to feel just like other messaging apps you use, you can create and manage groups easily for your ward team or department through to your social groups too; knowing that Induction has security high enough to share patient identifiable details.

Purpose built for healthcare

Induction has a variety of features that make it easy to use and have confidence in for secure clinical messaging.

You can see who has read your messages in a group and you can reply directly to messages sent by colleagues to ensure communication is clear and transparent.

We take security seriously…

Security must be at the highest level in a secure instant messenger used in healthcare. With Induction, you can feel confident discussing patient identifiable information and sending messages securely.

Verified Users

In the UK, users are verified using the GMC, NMC and HCPC. In Australia, all users must be AHPRA registered. Set up also requires multi-factor authentication to confirm user identification.

Encrypted Messages

All messages are encrypted in transit and rest by a zero knowledge encryption protocol using 256-bit to encrypt data whilst also ensuring messages can only be read by recipients. Messages will automatically delete after 30 days.

Secure Image Sharing

Photos and images are also encrypted in transit and rest and will not be stored on your device.

Biometric & Pin Protection

Induction requires FaceID, TouchID or pin code to enter the messaging section of the app and lost phones can be remotely wiped so that access cannot be gained to confidential information.

Storing Data Securely

Your user and patient data is stored securely in the country your hospital is based in. In the UK, data is stored on HSCN/N3 servers which are the servers recommended by the NHS.

Highest Security Rating

Induction received the highest security rating following external penetration testing.
